The Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board has been the recipient of funding through the Numeracy and Literacy Secretariat of the Ministry of Education to support tutoring initiatives. This funding will allow us to initiate or to extend programs that assist students beyond their regular school day to strengthen literacy and numeracy skills as well as supporting homework completion.
With the funding available we are able to support 19 locations across the city. These programs are being offered not only at a variety of locations but also on different days and at different times.
