Modern Languages Department
The language program at Parkside is designed to
provide students with valuable experiences and tools to apply
in aspects of life at school and in the future. The study
of a second or third language enables students to become more
culturally diverse, will help to increase their skills in
literacy, communication, working with others, and presentations
and will also enhance their opportunities for career choices.
At Parkside, students can learn both French and Spanish.
Advantages of learning another language:
· Develop cultural diversity
· Increase understanding Canada and Canadians
· Enhance opportunities to travel and study in other
countries
· Improve proficiency in English literacy, vocabulary
and language structures
· Enhance listening skills and memory
· Increase job opportunities and salary potential
