History Department

Welcome to Parkside’s History Department where “the past is the future”.
We offer a staff who are History Specialists well versed in their areas of expertise.

Some of the main goals of the department are:
• To develop the knowledge and values the students need to become responsible, active and informed Canadian citizens in the twenty-first century
• To develop practical skills, such as critical-thinking research and communication skills, some of which are particular to a given subject in Canadian and World Studies and some of which are common to all subjects in the discipline
