Welcome to English studies at Parkside!
English studies at Parkside focus on promoting literacy, encouraging
curiosity, and fostering a life-long love of reading.
We look forward to working with you to meet these goals, and
to share the joy of learning!
What does the English program offer students?
Up-to-date computer technology in the classroom, and access
to current research databases.
An accredited staff with diverse areas of expertise.
A broad range of options at various grades
and levels, including Writer’s Craft.
Dedicated teachers who bring enthusiasm and love of the subject
to the classroom.
Parkside offers Drama too!
In addition to our English courses, the Department offers
a full programme in the are of the Dramatic Arts, in which
students can enrol in grade 10 and beyond. Please note that
these course provide students with Arts credits, and do not
count towards their four required English credits. These courses
are available to all students, workplace bound, college bound
or university bound.
