All student activities are governed by the Student Council, as outlined by its constitution. Each year, the Council levies a fee payable by students to pay the cost of activities such as:
- Extra curricular sports and activities sponsored by the Athletic Associations and Music Department
- Pennants and trophies used within the school
- Clubs and organizations operating within the school
- Leadership conferences
Parkside students who pay this fee receive a Student Card which is necessary for participation on teams and clubs and for admission to dances.
