Anti-racism Club
The Parkside Anti-Racism Committee is a year-long
extra-curricular group which meets regularly on Wednesday
mornings. The PARC has three primary functions:
· To provide students with a forum to discuss issues
around racism and tolerance
· To educate all Parkside students about how to handle
situations of racism and intolerance which they may observe.
· To serve as models of tolerance within the school
community, and within the community at large.
We meet our various objectives in a number of
ways:
· Pizza and sucker sales
· Classroom visits
· Whole-school assemblies
· Participation in the Holocaust Symposium
· Participation in the Free The Children fund-raising
campaign
Though meetings begin in September, new
members are welcome at any time.
