The Research Process
The Four Stages of the Inquiry and Research Model for Problem-Solving and Decision-Making
1) Preparing for Research (e.g. defining question)
2) Accessing Resources (e.g. locating information)
3) Processing Information (e.g. evaluating information)
4) Transferring Learning (e.g. presenting information)
As students move from grades 9 to 12 teachers and teacher-librarians work together to integrate Information Studies into subject curriculum expectations.
Students learn about each stage of the Research process in the specific areas of Reasoning, Organizing, Communicating and Applying.
