Mannequin challenge: Classes were invited to pose (still frame) in kind and supportive poses while Intermediate students film.
Tuesday May 2, 2017: BE CREATIVE
Door decorating challenge (Mental Wellness Focus) for all classes: Mindfulness baskets to be won!
Wednesday May 3, 2017: LEARN
MindUp lessons provided to teachers.
Thursday May 4, 2017: TAKE NOTICE AND BE ACTIVE
Gage Park: Stations were held at Gage Park such as art, noticing nature, mindful movement, Jump Rope for Heart, etc. Grade 7&8s leaders to support with younger grades.
AFTER SCHOOL: Real Men’s Cycling Group Presentation of bikes
Friday May 5, 2017: GIVE BACK
Staff and students were encouraged to wear green.
ASSEMBLY – The Health Action Committee shared their video and song to celebrate Mental Well Being and the Mannequin video was showcased. Mindfulness Door Prizes were handed out to the winning classrooms!
