Hamilton, ON – November 19, 2012: Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board and the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation District 21 Teachers' Unit and the Occasional Teachers' Unit reached a tentative agreement late Sunday evening after extensive bargaining over the weekend.
“This is great news for the secondary staff and students at HWDSB. We know this has been a challenging process but reaching this tentative agreement shows the commitment of both parties to our students,” said Chair Tim Simmons.
While the tentative agreement still requires Ministry of Education approval, OSSTF has agreed not to move forward with the job actions that were scheduled to begin today.
