Ancaster High Remembrance Ceremony

Friday, November 10 @ 8:30 am - 11:00 am

Details: There will be 2 ceremonies this year. We will begin at 8:45 for approx 1 hour. The second ceremony will begin at approx 9:50 again lasting about an hour. During the songs, wreaths are placed, or during the UN tribute. People involved 10 student readers 1 student master of ceremonies 10 student wreath presenters 4 student singers 1 student piano player 2 trumpet soloists Ancaster High Band 10 student technical crew Teachers: Mr. Steve Crowley Mr. Rob Fraser Ms. Lou Angel Ms. Marilyn Wylie Order of service (During seating: music will play and there is slide show of relatives and former AHS students who have serve din armed conflict) Land acknowledgement Sentries procession Land Acknowledgement O Canada Call to Remembrance Speech by Major R. Fraser ( teacher) Song: Thank a Soldier (student guitar player and singer) Tribute to UN soldiers Flanders Field Laying of the Wreaths (during which time Student singers will perform Pie Jesu from the Webber Requiem, I vow to thee my country - with band, and Amazing Grace) The Last Post, 2 min silence and Rouse God Save the Queen Marilyn Wylie Head of Music Ancaster High
