Let’s stay connected!

Connecting with the School, Principal and Office

All messages, flyers, updates, facts, stories and news items will be posted in a timely way on our school website.

Be sure to check it regularly, there are lots of news items! HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:  Subscribe now to our website using your e-mail address.  You will then receive a notification via e-mail with a link that a news item has been posted. Learn more.

Please know that the office welcomes your questions. An appointment is not always necessary, but helps to ensure that the principal is available.

Synervoice Messages This is our automated calling system that informs you of the following:Student Absences (unexplained) Important phone messages or events as determined by the school and at times central messages from HWDSB

Connecting with your child’s teacher(s)

Agenda: Gr 1-5 students have an agenda book to be used for home and school communication. Please remember to check this each night and initial.  FDK students each have a “Mr Zippy” bag which is used for all notes, newsletters and home-school communication.

Phone: If you need to speak to your child’s teacher you may call the school to arrange a mutually convenient time. Please do not text or email teachers unless they have indicated that this would be acceptable.

Newsletter: Classrooms will be sending home a monthly newsletter.

Remember, the agenda is just one way that staff can communicate with you. There are many situations when a phone call or a face-to-face meeting may be better.

We wish to emphasize the importance of Parent/Teacher interviews to discuss the growth and development of your child. Please make every effort to attend scheduled interviews. You may also ask for an interview with the teacher by calling or writing the school.

Please make an appointment with the principal if you wish to discuss school decisions or policies.
