Facility Update

Dear Parents/Guardians,

This afternoon there was a large amount of rain in a short amount of time. Mrs. Haunton / Miss Edwards class had water come into the classroom through the roof this afternoon.

Student and staff safety are our focus. Students were moved to the classroom next door for the remainder of the day. Our caretaking team worked to move items to prevent them from damage (e.g., carpets). At the same time HWDSB Facility department was notified, technicians were sent out to assess the problem.

We anticipate that the class will return to their learning space tomorrow, but will confirm once we have heard from our Facilities department. We will continue to keep you informed at www.hwdsb.on.ca/maryhopkins.
