Water testing for lead

Dear Parents, Guardians and Caregivers

Water testing for lead continues at our school, in accordance with the provincial regulations (O.Reg 243/07).

As results continue to come in, one of our drinking water fountains has been temporarily removed from service. One of our hydration stations exceeded on the standing samples but passed upon flushing of the fixture. As a result, we will continue to flush all drinking water fixtures at the school each day. We will also continue to take guidance from Public Health on the issue and be working to ensure corrective actions are in place before returning our fountain to service.
