On Saturday, April 16, Prom Project Hamilton made dreams come true as it held two events where local students could find formal wear free of charge to attend their formals, graduations and special events feeling confident, stylish and proud.

At Sir Allan MacNab and Delta secondary schools, students were able to find formal wear, accessories, on-site makeup and hair demos as well as on-site alterations so that everything fit. The Prom Project is only in its second year and continues to be a success.

Formal wear is still available at Delta. Students can arrange to visit the closet by appointment from 8:50 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, until the end of the school year. Students must be accompanied by a teacher, EA or administrator from their school. Contact Delta to request an appointment at (905) 549-3031 or [email protected].

Enjoy some coverage of this year’s Prom Project event from the Hamilton Spectator, Mountain News and Snapd Hamilton.
