Happy Holidays and Thank You

As we wind up the year 2017, I wanted to extend my thanks to everyone who supported our December efforts for giving back to the community. Our Grade 5 and 6 students raised $380 dollars in support of McMaster Children’s Hospital through Candy Gram sales. Room 10 students and staff worked together selling popcorn and they were able to donate several boxes of recess equipment to Dr. Davey School. Our “Elf Challenge” in support of the Neighbour to Neighbour Food Bank brought in 1057 POUNDS (480 KG) of non-perishable food items! Mr. Harvey, Mr. Gunell and Mr. Maudsley were all proud to dress up as elves on December 21 in recognition of this great accomplishment. Through all of these efforts, not only were we able to support our community, but we also showed a lot of school spirit and great teamwork.

On behalf of all the staff at Lincoln Alexander, I want to wish you and your family a safe, happy holiday. We look forward to seeing all of our students again on January 8, 2018.
