Our Expectations of Students in Our School

We expect you to work to the best of your ability in every subject.

• We expect you to be responsible for your assignments and homework.

• We expect everyone to treat others with kindness and respect. 

• We expect everyone to help keep our school and outdoors clean.

• We expect everyone to follow the rules of the class,school and Board and Country. 

• We expect everyone to work, to get along well with parents, teachers and students.

• We expect everyone to solve problems through peaceful discussion. 

• We expect everyone to act  in a calm, orderly and safe manner.

    

Lincoln’s Dress Code

• Dress should be neat, clean and suited to the location (e.g. running shoes, T-shirts and shorts  for gym)
• No hats or headbands are worn in the school
• Student ‘tops’ should touch their ‘bottoms’ (no exposed underwear/ low slung jeans, ‘belly’ tops)
• Any words/ items on a T-shirt should be appropriate for a school environment
• Skirts, shorts and pants should be of appropriate length
• Platformed / heeled shoes are discouraged for safety
• The use of make-up is discouraged at school

(Please note that most students will be assigned a locker for their belongings, but no locks are permitted at this age.  All valuables should be left at home!) Due to a shortage of lockers some students will use a hook in one of our ‘locker room’ areas off of the gym.

Bullying

Bullying is typically a form of repeated, persistent, and aggressive behavior directed at an individual or individuals that is intended to cause ( or should be known to cause) fear and distress and/or harm to another person's body, feelings, self-esteem, or reputation .Bullying occurs in a context where there is a real or preceived power imbalance.

Bullying is not tolerated
