Welcome to Lawfield

Lawfield School, Hamilton Wentworth District School Board was opened December 2007. The vision of this school was inspired administrator Bill Demille, who exclaims, “My original vision was to have a universal design from the beginning to integrate technology into the instructional model for the entire school. The philosophy is to have what I call a forward thinking model and bring our educational process into the 21st Century”. As far as change goes, he believes strongly that we need to take chances, be innovative risk takers, not afraid to take chances and do what is necessary to provide our children with the optimal learning environment to be prepared for the future. “ I think Lawfield can be innovators for an educational transformation. I gave staff no option, this is where we are going, either you share the vision and run as fast you can forward with it or look elsewhere. I think we have a good core of people who believe in where we are wanting to go” says Bill excitedly.
