Boundary Review – Green Acres School and Lake Avenue School

Dear Parents, Guardians and Caregivers,

At the June 6, 2016, Board meeting, Trustees approved the final decision for both the East Hamilton City 2 and Lower Stoney Creek Accommodation Reviews. Part of this decision included that a boundary review be undertaken between Lake Avenue and Green Acres Schools upon Ministry of Education approval of the business cases submitted for both accommodation review areas.

A Boundary Review Advisory Panel, including parent representation from School Council and/or Home and School Association, will be formed to review pertinent information and provide input regarding recommended option(s) for school boundary adjustments. The Advisory Panel will be meeting on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at Green Acres School at 6:00 p.m.

A Boundary Review Public Meeting will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2017, at Green Acres School beginning at 6 p.m. Parents and community members of both Lake Avenue and Green Acres Schools are encouraged to attend this meeting to review important information, ask questions and provide input regarding proposed recommendation(s).
