Fashion Gallery Walk

On Thursday, February 15, 2018, the students from Room 136 (Mrs. Allen), Room 120 (Mrs. Vernon) and a handful of social justice students from Room 110 (Mrs. Hughes) will be taking part in a “Fashion Gallery Walk” to share their learning about mental health and well-being with the JMAC school community. These students took part in a HWDSB Foundation Grant project in partnership with Centre [3]. Students explored mental health and well-being through literature, provocation, and classroom discussions. Students were then taught the elements of design from the Centre [3] artist, Christina Tarsitano. “Mental health mantras” were created by each student and made into screen printed T-shirts. A special thanks to Centre [3] and the HWDSB Foundation for making this project happen at James MacDonald School!
