The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) is a requirement for graduation and is most frequently written by Grade 10 students in the Spring of each school year.

This year’s test is scheduled province-wide on Thursday, March 26th. All eligible Glendale students will write the OSSLT and are currently receiving literacy preparation lessons including personalized coaching, focussed lessons, and cross-curricular practice.

If you have questions related to a specific student and the test, please contact our Literacy Lead Ms. Jen McGilchrist at 905-560-7343.

If you would like to learn more about the test, please go to the EQAO website.

Grade 9 students participate in a standardizedprovince-wide math test in the semester in which they are studying Grade 9 Mathematics. The test allows students to demonstrate a core set of skills which prepare them for everyday math in daily life and for future studies in math.

Glendale students participate in practice lessons and tests which prepare them for the test.  Online resources for both parents and students are very helpful and provide. Please explore the EQAO website to learn more about the test and the skills that students need to demonstrate.

Previous Glendale math results show significant improvement over the years and are available online.
