Today is the Last Day to Order EK Spirit Wear!!!
Earl Kitchener families have an opportunity to purchase spirit wear clothing bearing the school’s name and eagle mascot. This year, we are offering T-shirts, hoodies, and baseball hats in youth and adult sizes. You will be able to pay for your order using cheque, cash, or School Cash Online. Keep in mind that all orders MUST be accompanied by a paper order form submitted to classroom teachers. Show your EK pride! Get your orders in today before it’s too late!
Welcome to Kindergarten Information Night
This Thursday, May 12th, we will be holding a Welcome to Kindergarten Information Night from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the gym. Parents and new kindergarten students only please. So exciting! See you there!
Run 4 Change Forms
Just a friendly reminder to please make sure the consent forms are in for “Run 4 Change”. The event will be held on Wednesday, May 18th at Bay Front Park. It is a 5 km walk / run and a shorter course to allow all students to participate regardless of age or ability. So please make the forms are returned back to your child’s teacher. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
Book Swap Coming This May 27th
The Book Swap is quickly approaching, coming up on Friday, May 27th. Students will have an opportunity to buy books during the day for 25 cents a book, and families will have a chance to shop after school. We are still in need of books suitable for JK to Grade 5 students, as well as boxes to hold books. Please drop these off in the photocopy room at the School. Finally we are seeking volunteers for the day of the Swap…
- starting at 8 a.m. to set up the Swap
- during the school day to monitor kids purchasing books
- at 4 p.m. at the end of the Swap to pack up the leftover books

June (July and August) Birthday Cupcakes
We are searching for four (4) more volunteers to help bake cupcakes for Monday, June 27th for the Birthday Cupcake Day. If you are interested, please contact Carol at [email protected].
Piano Lessons at Earl Kitchener
It is now time to register for in-school piano lessons at Earl Kitchener for next September. Due to a Board of Education policy, lessons are on a semi-private basis, and take place once a week during school hours. Students must have a piano or full-size keyboard at home on which to practice.
