Letter to Families Regarding Fire Alarm Today

Dear Parents/Guardians,

As you may know, we had an issue with our fire alarms going off early this afternoon, which led to us following our Fire Procedures and evacuating the school.

The incident that caused our fire alarms to go off was a drop in pressure in our safety equipment, due to fire trucks hooking up to the fire hydrant because of a gas leak that was occurring across the street from the school. The Fire Department quickly advised us to re-enter the school.

Student safety is of the utmost importance to us at Dundas Central and that is why we took all necessary precautions.

If you have any questions, please contact the school at 905-627-3521.

Thank you for your understanding,

Holly Shanlin
Principal
