Hallowe’en is Coming

On Tuesday, October 31, students are welcome to join in on Hallowe’en festivities in the school.  Teachers may provide more class-specific information, but here are some school-wide details.

Kindergarten students are invited to wear their costumes to school.  They will be participating in a K-only parade at 9:15 on the first floor only of the school.

Our grade 1 to 5 students will participate in another parade throughout the school beginning at 11:30 a.m.  Weather permitting, this parade route will include the back playground if parents or other family members would like to be spectators.

If your child’s costume includes a weapon or mask, we ask that these accessories remain at home during school festivities and be saved for Hallowe’en night.  As well, costumes that impede vision or movement should be thoughtfully considered as students will be moving around the school, including on stairs, during our parade.

A reminder too that if treats are being brought in to share on this nutrition-exempt school day, please remember to exclude any items that do/can contain nuts and help keep our school nut-safe for students with these allergies.
