Volunteers are Needed

Staff and students at Dundana rely on the valuable efforts of our volunteers to assist in so many ways:  to supervise off-site events (e.g. class trips or sports teams), to supervise on-site events (e.g. Scientists in the School), help out in classrooms with reading programs or teacher prep support.  We couldn’t do what we do without you!  Thanks to everyone who offers to volunteer to help out.

Please remember the board’s policy for serving as a volunteer:

• a vulnerable sector police check must be submitted within 6 months of issue, every three years
• a volunteer agreement must be submitted yearly
• an offense declaration must be submitted in years a police check is not required
• new volunteers must complete a volunteer information sheet
• new volunteers must participate in a short orientation when you begin volunteering (this can be done in person with Mrs. Keery Bishop or by telephone)
