Celebration Assembly

On Monday, September 25, we will have the first celebration assemblies of the year.  It is our tradition to hold one each month with the entire school to celebrate the achievements of a few students from each class.  Each teacher chooses students to celebrate and decides what criteria has been important learning in her classroom that month.  Awards can range from character education achievement, achievement in a subject area, or extra curricular engagement.

In order to streamline our awards time, all of our award winners will be called up at the same time to receive their certificates.  Then, other important events, activities or celebrations important to that month will then be shared with our audience.  For example, this month, we will use the assembly to learn about Terry Fox and the run we will participate in on Thursday, September 28.

Family members are always welcome to attend our assemblies.  Please note that our audience space is limited.  Our assemblies begin at 9:10, immediately after morning announcements, and will generally be over by 10 a.m.  Student award presentations will generally be over by 9:30 a.m.
