Dear Parents and Guardians:

Delta is alive with enthusiastic staff, students and parents. We encourage you to get involved in our learning community. For students there are many teams and groups to join. As a parent your involvement as a member of our School Council can greatly enhance both you and your child’s experience here at Delta.

The essential purpose of the School Council is to provide advice, recommendations, and suggestions to the school principal and where appropriate, the Board. Its major aim is to improve the quality of education for all of our students. In addition to its advisory responsibilities, the Council acts as a liaison with other members of the school community.

Our School Council meets monthly here at school in the library during the evening at 6:30 pm. All parents are welcome to attend School Council meetings and do not need to hold a position to attend and contribute.

Benefits:

  • You are a partner in the education system.
  • Your views are valued.
  • You contribute to the shared goal of improving student achievement.
  • You have a vehicle through which to express opinions.
  • You are able to keep informed about what is happening at the school, board and provincial levels of education.

Should you have any questions about Delta please contact  Mr. Graham.  (905-549-3031 ext 226).
