There are a lot of places in Hamilton to fish. Lake Ontario, The
Bay, Red Hill Creek and Pier Four are just a few of the places in
Hamilton to fish. Some of the fish you can catch in Hamilton are
catfish, bass, trout and perch. Down in Red Hill Creek the water
is not that deep and not very clean. There are not very many fish in
the creek. If you do catch one chances are it would not be very big. If you were to fish at Pier Four or Lake Ontario you may catch some
trout, bass or catfish. In the Bay you may be able to catch the odd
perch. The fish that you may catch in these spots would not be very big. You could catch a big bass or trout. Hamilton has a lot more spots to fish in than the spots that I just named with different kinds of fish.
Hamilton is concerned about its bodies of water so it is
involved in numerous water and wildlife conserving projects. One of
the most recent is the project of keeping the carp and other eco-
system disturbing animals out of the Princess Point waters. They have set up an ingenius barrier designed to catch the carp and bullheads.
They have done this because the carp go to the bottom and stir up
dirt therefore causing unsuitable terrain for plants to grow in.
This plan will help Hamilton's plant life and ecosystem.
