Delta Secondary School’s bocce team won the bronze medal with a 13-1 victory over Ajax’s Richardson Collegiate at last week’s Special Olympics Provincial School Championships in Oshawa.

Prom Project Helps Students Attend Events in Style

Congratulations to Delta secondary math teacher Cassandra Manning for winning the 102.9 K-Lite Best In Town Award for Favourite High School Teacher. The contest spotlights members of the community that make Hamilton an amazing place to live and work. Listeners were able to vote for their favourite, nominated high school teacher.

    Watch: Young Mother Gives Valedictorian Speech
    Taylor Pipe is class valedictorian and a young mother. When she speaks of the challenges of completing high school while raising a child, her classmates can fully relate. Ten young mothers working in partnership with Grace Haven and HWDSB received their high school diplomas with their children taking part in the celebration. Grace Haven School run by the Salvation Army is an education program catering to prenatal and postnatal teens in Hamilton. Watch Taylor's inspirational speech about rising to life's challenges.
