Forest of Reading

The Red Maple and Silver Birch reading groups began meeting on January 25 and will continue to meet on Day 3's. See you then!

Book Sign-out

Classes will be coming to the Library with the Core teacher this year instead of having a Library period in their schedule. The guidelines for borrowing remain the same, however, as students may sign out two books and keep them out for three weeks.

Scholastic order forms are available in the Library. Feel free to come in and pick one up! Forms and cheques (payable to Scholastic Canada) are due at the end of the month.

Students are encouraged to visit the Virtual Library (Virtual Library) . These resources may be accessed through the Board's website (www.hwdsb.on.ca/) under the "Students" tab. This is a safe, reliable way for students to gather information for projects and assignments they will be working on over the next few months. Check it out!

Library Helpers

Our Library Helpers are worked hard to set up the sign-out binders to accommodate our new circulation procedures. We will continue to re-organize the collection and make it more user friendly as the year goes on. This has been an on-going project. Thanks to all those involved for their hard work and commitment.

Check out the Hamilton Public Library's web site for information on their reading programs.	Scholastic order forms are available and are due back the last school day of each month. When placing an order, please make cheques payable to "Scholastic Canada".
