Immersion – Help needed!
Since 2002, Canadian Parents for French (CPF) Hamilton-Wentorth has been
working to advocate for, promote and encourage French immersion in our
community with considerable success. French enrolment is up, new school
sites have been opened and children from both the public and separate
school boards can now access bussing to their schools. Click here

students will get a chance to learn Canada’s official second language
thanks to the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board’s recent
decision to look at expanding French Immersion to the Ancaster community.

FIAC - French Immersion Advisory Committee
Purpose - The committee is advisory in nature with a focus on the FI program in elementary and secondary as well as Ministry and community supports that enhance the learning experience for our students.

program at Westdale- Can French Immersion students do this without
sacrificing French designation?

program will be occurring at Westdale
Here is the website for the IBO program. www.ibo.org
There is no such concept as a French Immersion IB program. IB is IB. Ultimately,
the IB is not in competition with our school's Languages nor French Immersion
Programs...instead the opportunity for the student is one that embodies
the true essence of being a life-long learner and critical thinker in
an international world. Again, French Immersion students who go into the
IB program are not in French Immersion IB (there is no such thing) they
are in IB continuing their language focus in the French A program. Their
other courses are not taken in French.
