Cootes Paradise School Council AGM on September 27

The Cootes Paradise School Council is an advisory group that provides parents with the opportunity to provide feedback on school policies, e.g., the code of conduct, initiatives and programs.  The School Council is mandated by the Ontario Ministry of Education and provides an opportunity for parents and community members to contribute to a positive school culture and student achievement.  The School Council membership includes the school principal, parents, teaching and non-teaching staff and a community representative.  Some of the activities that the CP School Council supports are the PRO grant, Home & School activities, community events and fundraising.  This year’s Annual General Meeting is Wednesday, September 27 at 7PM in the CP library.  The meeting is held jointly with that of the CP Home & School Association.  Meetings are held every 2 months and run for about 2 hours.  School Council will send out updates through the School Council / Home & School tab on the CP School website.  If you would like to run for a position or nominate someone for a position on School Council, please fill out the attached form and return it to the school office by September 13.   7.4-SCHOOL COUNCIL PARENT SELF-NOMINATION-2017
