Letter for Families re: Hold and Secure

Dear Families,

This letter is to inform you that Chedoke and Holbrook elementary schools and Sir Allan MacNab Secondary School entered a Hold and Secure response yesterday.

Hold and Secure requires the building to be secured and all persons to remain in the school due to a safety situation in the neighbourhood not related to the school.

The schools entered into a Hold and Secure at the direction of the police around 3:15 p.m. The Hold and Secure was lifted by the police soon after. After-school activities continued to function normally, but no staff or students were allowed outside of the building.
