School Parking Lot Safety for Our Students

As many of you are aware, parking lots can be a dangerous place for young people to move through. We understand that the sidewalks on the way to the school are not as well cleared as we would like and that might make walking to school more difficult right now. We do encourage all of our students to walk to school when possible. There are cleared paths at each access point to our playground which is where we need students to safely enter and exit the building.

The challenges of keeping the parking lot safe and following the road parking signs is ongoing and we are asking for your cooperation.

We need to make you aware of the following changes to our parking lot use:

• Both parking lots are only available for board staff.
• The Handicapped parking spaces are available for caregivers only where the permit is present in the vehicle.

We will be installing signs over the next while to remind everyone of the new guidelines.
