How she can supports our school:

  • Support staff, students and community groups to create comprehensive plans to address mental well-being and health equity. For example school-based teams (Safe Spaces), school mental health/health equity leads and the Bennetto & St. Lawrence Community Collaborative
  • Promotion of and support for curriculum with resources such as School Mental Health Ontario, OPHEA, Healthy Schools Certification
  • Connecting schools and families to community resources e.g. recreation programs, before and after school programs, student nutrition programs (Breakfast Clubs
  •  Attend School Council meetings as a community member
  • Provide guidance to other Public Health Services and resources e.g. dental programs, immunization clinics and vision screening
