Senior Kindergarten Families are invited to learn more about French Immersion
Because every student is unique in their learning, HWDSB staff strive to provide programs that help all students reach their full potential. French Immersion is one such program.
French Immersion is a proven way of acquiring excellent French language skills. At HWDSB, French Immersion is specifically designed for parents who do not speak French, but want their children to speak both official languages. The program is open to all students in Hamilton-Wentworth starting in Grade 1.

Beginning this year, HWDSB is using an application process for entry into French Immersion. Students who are registered by the deadline of Thursday, November 30 are guaranteed a spot in the program. However, depending on space within the student’s in-catchment school, some students may be placed at a school outside their catchment area.
More information about the application processes will be discussed at the information sessions.
