Featured Athlete of the Week – Verlaine Prado – Delta

Currently in her grade 12 year, Verlaine has been involved in athletics at Delta since Grade 9.  She has been an asset to the field hockey, volleyball and badminton teams throughout the last four years.  She is an honour roll student-athlete who is a dedicated team player, always demonstrates sportsmanship and has emerged as a leader on and off the playing field/court.  She is also an active member of the Girls’ Athletic Council, Student Council and Peer Mentorship Program at Delta.  Verlaine’s future plans are to study Life Sciences at the University of Toronto.
