Featured Athlete of the Week – Alyssa Clayton – Sherwood

So little time so many sports!!! Alyssa Clayton can and does play a lot of sports, she is not just your average high school athlete.  As well as being a fantastic, mature young woman, she manages to fill her time with being a starter, for all 4 years, on the Varsity Field Hockey team, Jr/Sr. Girls Volleyball team, Co-Ed Beach Volleyball team and the Varsity Soccer team, quite a list!  Alyssa’s busy schedule also includes Student Athlete Council Co President, Student Council Treasurer and playing Rep Soccer (which also happens to be her favourite sport.) She is the very definition of a well- balanced, well-rounded Student-Athlete.  Last year Alyssa was the recipient of the very special Rebecca Johnstone award at Sherwood’s Athletic Banquet. Alyssa has aspirations to go to University at either Queens or Windsor and major in Kinesiology. Her future plans include becoming a Sports Physiotherapist.  Alyssa has a bright future ahead of her and although we will miss her greatly at Sherwood we know she will be successful, wherever her path may take her.
