Featured Athlete of the Week – Anna Petrovic – Orchard Park

Anna Petrovic is a grade 12 student at Orchard Park Secondary School who possesses incredible athletic abilities as well as strong character traits and high academics.  She has led the Patriots in Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Badminton, and Ultimate Frisbee for the last 4 years.   Anna was a key player in both Basketball and Volleyball, earning high praises from her coaches and teammates.  She has been a long-time Rep soccer player and this year qualified for OFSAA in Mixed Doubles Badminton.  She also led the Patriots Ultimate Frisbee Team as they qualified for the OFSAA South Regionals Tournament.  Through these experiences, Anna has demonstrated leadership, teamwork, commitment and dedication to her team and her school.  Coaches describe Anna as “highly motivated, hard-working, and a pleasure to coach.”  Her athletic talents and positive attitude will be missed next year.

In September she will be continuing her academic pursuits at McMaster University in the Kinesiology Program.  Orchard Park thanks Anna for all of her efforts over the past 4 years and wishes her the best in her future endeavours.  The Patriots are proud of all she’s done and quite sure she’ll be highly successful down the road.
