Dundas Valley grabs top spot at HWIAC track & field meet

HAMILTON (May 11, 2016) – The Dundas Valley Gryphons secured their second straight combined track & field title on Wednesday at the HWIAC championship hosted at Mohawk Sports Park.  The Gryphons also swept all the major team titles available.

The Gryphons tallied a combined total of 656 points to earn top spot besting Guido de Bres who finished with 446 points.  Westdale placed third with 355.50 points with Ancaster finishing 4th.

Dundas Valley also picked up the overall girls title collecting 333 points compared to runner up Guido de Bres’ 221 points.  Westdale was third in the girls overall with 217.50 points.

To sweep the team titles, Dundas Valley won the boys overall with 323 points with Guido placing second with 225 points while Westdale finished third with 138.
