OFSAA Boys Rugby (AAA/AAAA): Saltfleet captures provincial championship

HAMILTON (June 5, 2015) – The No. 1 ranked Saltfleet Storm captured their second provincial high school rugby title on Saturday dusting Toronto’s Malvern CI 32-8 in the OFSSA AAA/AAAA championship at Mohawk Sports Park.

This is the second time the Storm have won the title in the school’s history having won their first title in 2005 under the guidance of head coach Paul Pendakis who was also the head coach of this year’s squad.

Saltfleet cruised to a perfect record in OFSAA play recording wins against No. 16 Nepean (48-0) from Ottawa, No. 8 St. Francis Xavier SS (29-3) from Mississauga, No. 4 Medway H.S from Arva (22-0) and their win against Malvern in the championship final.

Saltfleet also acted as this year’s hosts for the event.
