Elementary senior basketball season wraps up with champions crowned

HAMILTON (March 6, 2015) – Elementary Athletics saw the close of the senior basketball schedule on Thursday night with four well played championship games at Sir Allan MacNab Secondary School.

Cathy Wever captured the Boy’s A-Division with a well fought 38-34 win over Memorial Stoney Creek while Winona won the Boys AA-Division with a decisive win over Dalewood.   Dr. Davey was the cream of the crop in the Girl’s A-Division knocking off Memorial Stoney Creek 33-32.  Finally Sir William Osler claimed the Girls AA Division crown getting past Gatestone 23-16.

The junior elementary basketball season kicks off next week with regular season play.  Playoffs begin mid-April with the championship games slated for March 5th.
