Volunteering at Ancaster Meadow

We are very fortunate at Ancaster Meadow to have have so many dedicated volunteers. Be it in our classrooms, on trips, or as drivers to athletic events, we value and depend upon our volunteers and the time they give to our school and students.

To help keep our schools safe, it is the practice in the HWDSB that all volunteers provide a new Vulnerable Sector Screening Check every 3 years. Volunteers must also sign a current offence declaration each year, in between Vulnerable Sector Screening updates.  To support our volunteers and the work that they do, an Orientation is also required to provide context and background for volunteering in a school.

Our first Volunteer Orientation session will be held at our Meet the Teacher Night on Thursday October 5th at 6:00 pm in the Library. The Orientation will take about 15 mins.

If you would like to start volunteering at our school,  or would like to continue volunteering but need an updated Vulnerable Sector Check, please see the link below for further information.

The Volunteer Information Sheet and Volunteer Driver Form will be handed out at the orientation session. Please feel free to print them and have them filled out in anticipation of the session.
