Principal Update Feb 9

Hello,

We end the week with some snowy weather. The cold weather means lots of winter clothing. Our Lost and Found is overflowing with mitts, hats, and other items. The items will be organized and donated after next week. If you are missing items, please come in and check.

This week Ancaster Meadow hosted a science fair for students in grade 7 and 8. We had over 130 projects- a fantastic turn out. 12 projects were selected to move on to the Bay Area Science and Engineering Fair. Our students in younger grades were able to tour the science fair and are hopefully motivated to participate in future year.

Parents are welcome to come to our School Council meeting on Tues Feb 13 at 6:30pm in the library. The School Council meeting is followed by our Home & School meeting at 7:30pm.

Report Cards are coming home for grades 1 to 8 on Tues Feb 13 and the Kindergarten report is coming home on Friday Feb 16.

Feb 16 is also our ski trip day. We have over almost 130 students taking advantage of this opportunity.

Registration for Kindergarten is in process and information can be found at https://www.hwdsb.on.ca/kindergarten/ Parents can come to the Main Office to register during school hours.

Students in grade 3 and 6 will be writing EQAO on Wed May 23, Thurs May 24, Mon May 28, and Tues May 29. Parents of students in grade 3 and 6 are asked to avoid any absences during these dates.
