De-pave Schedule for Saturday, October 28th
Hello Adelaide Friends! The weather looks nice and dry for the next few days so we’ll be letting the soil we added over the past few days settle. We have more soil to add as a community so we will need LOTS of volunteers for the first part of Saturday! The second part, planting, will happen after we’re done with the soil so don’t expect to plant in the early morning!
Here is an update for Saturday:
Start time: 9am
Step 1: SOIL
We will be adding A LOT more soil to the garden. Please bring a shovel and wheelbarrow to help. The first part of the morning will be adding soil and a small layer of mulch.
Step 2 – PLANT
We have over 200 native plants and 3 large trees to plant! The plants will be placed in the garden after the soil is added and we will plant them in teams.
Step 3: MULCH and WATER
We will finish adding mulch to the garden once all of the plants are planted and water them.
Items to bring: closed toe shoes, steel toe if you have, gardening gloves, wheelbarrows, shovels, buckets.
