Welcome to Adelaide!

Welcome to the 2017/2018 School Year!

We are excited to get back to learning in our amazing Adelaide Hoodless community. I have spent many days down in the neighbourhood ensuring construction was happening according to timelines. It is such a great experience riding through our neighbourhood on my bike and seeing so many families out enjoying all the neighbourhood offers.

The kindergarten room and grade 1 room are complete and ready to be occupied.  Construction continues in the music and library. Future for Adelaide include a renovation of the science lab and art room. Other physical plant improvements are also in the works for Adelaide.

Our school population is growing; therefore, we have some staffing changes.

Ms. Campello, who was to teach grade one, is unable to return to Adelaide. Mrs. Orovan will lead the way for the month of September. Mrs. Obradovic (FDK 9A) is on maternity leave. Ms. N. Centanni is now the teacher assigned to this position. Ms. S. Gould will be the DECE in 9D. Although we are sad Mrs. Smith can’t return to 1/2A, we are excited Ms. Nardi is able to continue in the role.

We are also excited to announce Mrs. L. Glenn will be full time at Adelaide! Mrs. Glenn has been 0.5 at Adelaide, but was recently successful in obtaining a full-time position at our amazing school. Now we have two beautiful smiling faces to greet us every morning! Mrs. Glenn and Mrs. Wilson will be an amazing office team!

Please be advised there is a very important announcement being made Thursday, September 7^th at 8:30 am.  This announcement will bring some great improvements to the Adelaide playground. Everyone is invited to be there.
