In response to recommendations from the Auditor General of Ontario The Ministry of Education has provided School Board Expenditure Guidelines that address the following areas of expenditure:
- Use of corporate credit cards
- Travel, meals and hospitality
- Advertising
- Advocacy

School Boards across Ontario are reviewing their polices and procedures to ensure they are consistent with the Guidelines. This work is currently being undertaken by the Policy Working Sub-Committee.
