HWDSB Honour Band Concert

In collaboration with the Greater Horseshoe Music Festival we are very excited to be offering secondary music students the opportunity to be a part of the Third Annual HWDSB Honour Band with Guest Colin Clarke and Composer/Conductor Johnathan Degenais. Students from grade 9 - 12 are nominated by their music teachers in order to participate. Congratulations to the 85 students that have been nominated by their music teacher to participate in this very special opportunity! The HWDSB Honour Band Students and conductors have been rehearsing together weekly since the end of December and have had the opportunity to work with guest conductor Colin Clarke (Music Director of Hamilton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (HPYO), composer Johnathan Degenais (Conductor McGill University Wind Orchestra) and musicians from the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra (HPO) who will be holding sectionals with our musicians. TWO concerts take place on Thursday February 21 at Redeemer University Auditorium. Lunchtime concert at noon - no charge. Evening concert at 7:00pm with a $10 charge for the evening concert. All are welcome to hear their amazing music and to support these outstanding music students in HWDSB.
