5th Annual Kate Andrus Pumpkin Prowl

The Kate Andrus Pumpkin Prowl is a Halloween event for families who, for various reasons (separation, divorce, work schedules, etc.), do not get to have Halloween together. Created by Ward 3 HWDSB Trustee Larry Pattison and the dynamic late Kate Andrus, Pumpkin Prowl was developed as the answer for those parents, grandparents, and guardians who do not want to miss seeing their little ones dress up as their favourite hero, ghoulish character, princess, or superstar and ring doorbells giddy with anticipation. It also gives kids and their families an opportunity to have an extra Halloween as ALL are welcome to join in on the fun! This year’s event starts at Belview Park and sees kids and parents play games and activities hosted by local organizations including: Pride Hamilton , Special Needs Resource Centre, Beautiful Alleys, Messy Play Studio, Urban Zoo, Determination Martial Arts, Erich's Cupboard - EC, My Free Hamilton, WrapAround Hamilton, and Mountain Kidz Klub. This year’s event will also include bouncy castles, a travelling zoo with live animals, and a raffle to win a free week of winter break camp courtesy of Les Petites Pommes and more! After the games and activities, the Pumpkin Prowl gang will prowl the neighbourhood in costume in search of participating trick-or-treat homes indicated by a Pumpkin Prowl window sign. Get your costumes ready for what has become a Halloween event that is better than the real Halloween! ALL are welcome to attend!
